Guinea Pig Problems

I have a guinea pig and she likes to squeak a lot. When we first got her she was quiet and spent a lot of her time at the back of her cage hiding . Now alls she does is run around and yell at those who walk by her cage  . She wants to eat every time she hears a bag rattle or door open, and when you refuse to give her something it just makes it worse. At night we have to put a  blanket over her cage and goes to sleep otherwise she would probably peep all night and keep everyone up.
